My services

Cultivating kindness and compassion whatever your journey

Many years ago, when I was a law student, I was given compassion training during retreats with Australia’s first resident Tibetan Lama, Geshe Thubten Loden. In the succeeding decades, as I practised as a lawyer, ran my own business and then moved into legal education, the exercise of ‘compassion’ seemed a world away – almost antithetical to the practice of law.

Now, however, after years of working with law graduates to prepare them for what can be a highly stressful career, and an increasing focus on mental health and self-care, I have come to believe that kindness and compassion are central to both the wellbeing of professionals and cultural change within the professions.

The services I offer are underpinned by this approach.

“When we show kindness or compassion to others there is activation in the reward centres of our brain, so both parties benefit.”
